This position requires a valid Class E driver's license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the Department's Driver's Record Requirements Policy. An unacceptable driving record is defined as any of the following:

  • three (3) or more moving violations in the past 3 years that accumulate 3 or more points per violation;

  • any 2 convictions of reckless driving in the past 3 years;

  • a suspension or revocation of the driver's license for moving violations in the past 3 years; and

  • a suspension or revocation for refusal to take a sobriety test, or any suspension or revocation for a DUI conviction in the past 4 years

Your driving record will be reviewed and the status of your driver's license confirmed.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:Performs efficient and effective contract management. Partners with contract company management employees to ensure adequate staffing, monitoring work schedules and oversight of the plaza training and recognition programs.

Meets financial objectives by controlling operating costs, accurate administration of facility funds, ensuring proper collection and deposit of toll revenues, reducing toll revenue variances using exceptions reporting, and monitoring toll violation rates for controllable issues such as equipment failures.

Ensure a safe and secure environment for employees and Turnpike customers by checking for proper operation of facility equipment, monitoring traffic lanes, reporting unsafe conditions, and ensuring a clean, well-maintained facility and grounds, including any associated remote ramps facilities.

Delivers exceptional customer service through the management of initiatives such as customer comment cards, regional office contract cards, and SunPass contact cards. Tracks customer complaints and monitors employee/customer interactions to ensure courteous, professional and helpful service.

Communicates regularly with facility personnel on all operational and personnel related matters.

Monitor contract employee progress reviews, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Resolves employee conflicts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations and procedures; skills in the management and training of employees; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; Ability to interact with the public in a tactful and courteous manner; Skills to determine priorities, assign work and ensure proper staffing; Ability to handle multiple tasks, Ability to remain calm and effective when under pressure and when interrupted; Knowledge in preparing reports and various bank deposits; Skills in the preparation and review of reports and bank deposits for accuracy and completeness; Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

OTHER JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS:A class E drivers license is required.
