Position Specifics: Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance. Must have experience in design of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and mechanisms. Must possess strong 3D modeling skills and have experience with one or more 3D design tools including Solid Works, Pro-Engineer, CATIA, or similar. Knowledge of Mechatronics and structures a plus. Engineers that have passed the national Professional Engineering or Fundamentals of Engineering exams and are registered as either a Professional Engineer or an Engineer in Training (EIT) are preferred.

This position will support the design, development and testing of undersea vehicles and systems, as well as other mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for the US military. This engineer will work in a rapid prototyping environment as part of a design team with the ability to act as the team lead when called upon to do so. The engineer will interact with other engineers and designers as well as fabrication and testing personnel.

Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
