About The Opportunity

Job Purpose

To lead and direct professional financial duties under accepted financial principles, government regulations and company policy.Perform general financial tasks such as financial reporting modeling of financial data and transactions, and management reporting. Serves as a business partner and advisor to site General Manager and division financial and overall leadership toward improving financial performance.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Provide professional advice and counsel regarding accountingpractices, procedures and financial reports to Company managers.

  2. Identify and resolve problems that have a direct or indirectimpact on financial results. Identifycost reduction opportunities.

  3. Provide technical leadership to direct reports and others withinthe Corporate Finance Team.

  4. Train support staff in functional areas of responsibility andon accounting systems.

  5. Lead site monthly financial forecast and annual budgetingprocess.

  6. Provide robust financial management reporting across thedivision to enhance decision making.

  7. Advise the site GM and division leadership of the financialoutcomes of alternate course of action.

  8. Provide world class decision support to the division leadership,enabling improved decision making to enhance profit, cash flow, and return oninvested capital.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent with MBA preferred

  • Certification in one or more of the following area: CPA, CMA, CFM or CGFM a significant plus

Experience andQualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or similar role

  • Extensive working knowledge of Government accounting experience & GAAP guidelines.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment including specific experience in both cost and general accounting disciplines, and financial planning & analysis.

  • Must have an active and be able to maintain DoD Secret Clearance

  • Experience working with or in the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, planning, and forecasting. Ability to provide executive summary reports outlining monthly, quarterly, yearly and year to date financial synopsis.

  • Ability to create formal documents and conduct management presentations.

  • Must have good negotiating and communication skills including strong active listening skills and thorough financial analytical skills.

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills for leading others and providing detailed root cause and corrective actions of financial related issues.

  • Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Excel & Windows Suite

  • Business acumen and understanding of business operations

  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and process adherence skills

  • Self-motivated & highly energetic, thorough problem solving skill sets

  • Oversee financial operations for Panama City, FL site

  • Manage and provide ongoing training to accounting personnel

  • Conduct weekly and monthly financial assessments and generate reports to be submitted to the senior management team

  • Establish budgets in accordance with the requirements of company guidelines

  • Allot funds for capital projects and work with the Director of Facilities to ensure they stay on track financially

  • Develop annual financial plans and projections for the site.

  • Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiatives
